Day 1 A New Start 1-2-12

Today is 1/2/12. Today is our day one! We sure went out with a bang... we ate nothing but junk food all day on new year's eve, and on new year's day. Blah... I made 7 layer dip and we had other dips too.. like one with 7 layers wasn't enough. We also had double dave's pepperoni rolls. Good Lord, what were we thinking.
So, after eating all that, and waking up the next day and doing it all over again, even having dip for breakfast and lunch, I felt so awful that I didn't have any dinner that night....not that I needed it.
Today is a new day... a new year... a new start. I had oatmeal for breakfast, 2 oranges as a snack, some noodles and veggies for lunch. We came home and instead of plopping down on the couch, we went and worked out. I rode a bike while Katie jogged along side me. We then worked some weights on our new home gym in the garage. We didn't do very long, but it beats coming home and sitting on the couch.
Dinner tonight was 2 slices of pot roast, one normal person sized potato, 4 carrotts, and a salad with a healthier dressing than the normal creamy goodness... lol
We are also going to start reading Jillians book tonigth in hopes there can be some mental changes too.

  1. Way to go, Girl! Such a great inspiration! Got a Wii Fit for Christmas and I am hoping it will do more than collect dust. ;P
